Inspired by
my reference to the classic Fischer-Botvinnik game at the Varna Olympiad in 1962,
AJ Goldsby has come up with a fresh analysis of this evergreen game on
his site.
AJ writes -
I wrote and rewrote some of these paragraphs literally dozens of times ... both in my head, and then on paper. (And then on the computer.)
Hopefully you will like it. Obviously you need not due extensive quoting, just summarize ... or give a quick quote. Let me know what you think ... if you see any GROSS mistakes, don't be afraid to point them out. (I would greatly appreciate any feedback at all.)
If you like this article, maybe I can do more of them. White it took a "spot of time" ... it was nothing compared to the effort of a deeply annotated chess game.
I have always wanted to DEEPLY annotate this game ... I have started on it many times, but never finished it.
Thanks very much, AJ, but sorry, I haven't time just at the moment to devote the time to your article that I should. God willing, when I return from Germany - for I now must be off.
